Sep 4, 2008 how-to, linux
For the more distracted, the current version (Beta) Google Chrome is only available for Windows systems.
To run on Linux Chrome is necessary to use Wine.
Here is a guide to the effect:
- Install the latest version of Wine. To this end consultation this page and follow the instructions.
- Installs the Chrome (download here). Double click and install through the Wine ...
- Install riched20 and riched30:
$ wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
$ sh ./winetricks riched20 riched30 - Finally:
$ winetricks riched20 riched30 - To launch the program uses:
$ wine "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/$USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Chrome/Application/chrome.exe" --new-http --in-process-plugins
