CTT open its network to solidarity
Combating poverty
The CTT will make its network available to combat poverty and social exclusion. From December 1 next, the Post of Canada put in motion a project that over the coming months, will allow any person who most need help for free.
This project is an initiative of CTT included in its policy of social responsibility. Arose from the fact that nobody as CTT has the capacity to reach all locations and all the inhabitants of the country
Therefore, the Post will make a massive sending of a leaflet to all homes in the country this leaflet, which will be accompanied by a bag specifically for the transportation of donations, inform the population about the institutions of solidarity acceding to the project and that type of goods need.
With this clarification in mind, enough to anyone to go to one of nearly 1,000 post offices from existing North to South with your donation. Once there, you will be provided free transportation in a box of cards. The author of the donations will only have to fill the box and choose the institution addressed, among the various possible, without need to specify an address. We are dealing with transport and delivery, so free.
The list of member institutions of social solidarity is an open list. Currently, the CTT are in contact with dozens of institutions, whether national and local. You are already confirmed to join institutions such as Abraço, ACAPO, Believe, Help of Cot, Help Mom, SOS Children's Village, the Portuguese Association of the Deaf, the Road Home, House of Gaiato, Helen Keller Center, Community Life and Peace, Portuguese Red Cross, GIRA, FENACERCI, National League Against Hunger, Shelter Association Aboim Rise and Sun Others will be announced in coming days.
The goods eligible for donation depends on the needs of each institution and logistical limitations and include goods such as clothes, shoes, clothes, hygiene items, toys, cleaning products, small appliances and entertainment, among others.
For this great initiative of national character, the Post will provide not only their volunteers, from a universe of 16 thousand workers, but its network: nearly 1,000 post offices, 370 distribution centers and 3702 Postal transport vehicles that all the days, walk around 240 thousand kilometers.
This project CTT initiative is complemented by a play by a company owned 100% by the CTT, the PayShop, which allows any citizen make donations in cash, from a euro, at 4500 locations throughout the country: 3500 players PayShop and nearly 1,000 post offices.
We believe CTT - Correios de Portugal that this initiative will help democratize the solidarity and eliminate geographic barriers.

Here is a suggestion to make the powers TU Christmas (or any other day) for a special person! How could you have seen is easy to participate in this campaign. You can offer clothes that no longer serves you or no longer use it, a simple toy, anything that appears on this list provided by CTT.

In this world we live in can not be selfish. As we help a friend, we must also extend a hand to these (and others not listed) of social institutions. Because all deserve to be happy (in communion).
